Mike D'Alessandro, MBA

Mike D'Alessandro serves as Principal, heading up McGuire Sponsel's Mid-Atlantic regional office. In this role, Mike is responsible for working closely with CPAs and attorneys as well as financial, banking and real estate professionals to identify opportunities to apply Research & Experimentation Tax Credits, Cost Segregation Studies, fixed asset reviews and 179D/Energy Efficient Building Tax Incentives.

Mike has extensive experience in specialty tax services, including:

  • Federal and state Research & Experimentation Tax Credits
  • Cost Segregation Studies
  • Export Incentives such as the Section 199D Domestic Production Deduction
  • IC-DISC; and
  • Inventory-related specialty tax planning strategies and methodologies such as the Inventory Price Index Computation or IPIC LIFO, Auto Dealer LIFO and Net Method Dealer Discount accounting methods

Since 1991, Mike has worked in the construction and manufacturing fields where he was a top performer with four public companies, two of which were Fortune 200. He has also been heavily involved in industry-related organizations such as the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI), American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC).

Mike earned his MBA in finance from DeSales University and his bachelor's degree from Kansas State University.
