Stephen Brunson is a nationally recognized expert in identifying and defending state and federal research and development tax credits. With more than 10 years of experience in R&D tax credit consulting, Brunson has worked closely with taxpayers of all sizes across many industries to maximize sustainable research credits.
While serving as a director at national tax-consulting practices, Brunson gained extensive experience assisting taxpayers in the defense, aerospace and medical industries. His specialties include credit identification, documentation and audit planning and defense.
Combining his tax expertise with extensive knowledge of real-world product- and process-development programs, Brunson’s experience affords him the ability to identify all areas of research and development within a company and to efficiently collect and document qualifying research expenses. He works closely with clients to ensure that their research efforts yield maximum tax benefits.
Brunson earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and resides in the Indianapolis area.
